What is an affirmation?
An affirmation is when you declare something to be true.
Affirmations: Affirmation Intro ~ The most powerful affirmations have to come from you and your mind. Your subconscious mind knows the language of your mind. It understand how you think and speak. So to get the most out of affirmations you have to create them yourself. Then you have to understand how to use them properly. Most people don't know how to do this and end up creating affirmations that will never help them get what they want out of life.
Affirmation Guidelines ~ Affirmations are a way to consciously utilize our internal dialogue to purposely create what we want in our lives. An affirmation should be stated in the present, as if it already exists and it should be repeated as often as possible, until it becomes a part of you more dominant thought process. Place the results in today, rather than the future.
Affirm only the desired result, without placing any hidden reference to undesired things. For example: Affirm that "My relationship is healthy and loving," rather than affirming "My boring relationship is getting better." Affirm what you want, rather than what you want to get rid of. Work with any subconscious fallout from your affirmations, but don't quit doing the affirmation.
Positive mind conditioning can cause all sorts of hidden subconscious material to surface. If you begin to experience negative feelings, or stubborn negative thoughts, it means the affirmations are producing results and shaking lose subconscious material. Work with these reactions by ventilating with a trusted person, writing in a personal journal, or seeking guidance.
