| Techniques of Astral Projection.Astral Projection is the separation of the physical body from the astral body. Most of us do this regularly when we sleep at night. We just don’t remember doing it. Like when we dream, usually we don’t recall our dream because it stays hidden in our subconscious. When you train yourself to remember dreams you are training your subconscious to come through to your conscious mind. There are many different techniques for astral projection, but it basically boils down to 9. 1. Diet - Fasting, vegetarianism or eating light foods. 2. Progressive muscular relaxation - Tense and relax starting from the toes and moving up to the head. 3. Yoga and Breath – This is also a relaxation technique used in kundalini yoga to attain higher states of consciousness, similar to that astral projection state or OBE (out of body experience). 4. Visualization – Like mental projection, picturing being in a place and then deepen the mental projection into a astral projection. 5. Guided imagery – Same as visualization but with someone talking you through or a audio tape. 6. Body of Light - Imagine a mirror image of yourself in front of you. Then transfer your consciousness and sensation to that image. 7. Strong willing – Creative visualization and a strong will to astral project. 8. Monroe technique - Series of steps, relax the body, enter altered state, deepen state, develop the sensation of vibration and finally separate from the body. 9. Dream control – Train yourself to know when you are dreaming and then you will be able to take control. Use an activity like flying in your dreams to make you aware that it’s a dream. The Monroe technique seems to be the most popular and may be the easiest way to learn astral projection. All people are different so one of the other techniques may be better for you. One of the chief barriers people learning to project face is fear. Many are afraid that they may die, or be harmed in some way as a result of their projection. Nothing could be farther from the truth. The Cantebury Institute, renowned for its occult studies, executed an experiment in projection involving over 2,000 people. None of them were hurt in any way by this, and now, three years later, none have complained of any newly arising problems. | Hi,
I think astral projection is my salvation.
I fear death and I cling obstinately to the physical form. I feel trapped.
I don't care about mediums and readers and phsycics, who can tell if their true, I know the majority of self proclaimed phycics are full of baloney so the truth is elusive.
Astral projection is what I see as the one true way, but I'm trapped.
I guess I got lost, and became a coward. | |

| Medusa - Small world indeed! I've read some more of his/her articles and they seem to be very informative If you talk to him/her again you'll have to tell them how useful their articles are, they sound quite experienced and have definitely researched the topic with a fine comb. I remember looking at the first point 'Diet', then thinking.... "you cut out chocolate to Astral Project??" lol, then reading it properly and then thinking of the Native Americans when they used to try and contact their animal guides, and also Shamans when they try to contact Higher Beings. I find it very interesting Throng - I know what you mean. Sometimes my physical body feels like my 'real self' is being bound by something, sort of like invisible ropes, so I've came to the conclusion that me in the Astral Realm is actually me! I love it there, I feel so much more at home than I do here, if that makes any sense at all. | |

| I have been practicing a meditation where I don't think at all.
I was advised to be aware of my being, and I find there is no image I can imagine that is 'me', so I just don't think at all, and I merely accept whatever might happen.
I get to a point where I am 'swept away', usually a very fast expansion. That's where the fear sets in and I wake myself.
I have recently realised I am mortally fearful. I know I'll be forced from my body when I die and unless I am fearless at that time, I will be swallowed by terror and my being will be destroyed in a fit of panic.
Anyone? | |

| Throng. Arent we all?
I recently received material that taught me that, the fear you speak of, was genetecally programmed into our very spirit mind body omplex. That fear is the tool that is used to control us with. That is our chosen challenge to overcome.
When you realize that you will always be. When you realize that this life is but a split second in the ongoing continuum of your real existence in conciousness then you begin to view life and death as just another quick try shot at the game in the arcade room of life on this planet. You the player, will always be. Have always been. When this life ends we all catch you on the other side. "What a rush!!!. Dang I almost had it!! I wanna go again."
Boy are we ambitious. | |
